Star Live is a global, specialist live events and production company.

They’re known for delivering exceptional experiences through technical excellence, creative thinking, and flawless execution. Working across a wide range of sectors and event formats, Star Live has established a strong reputation for reliability, innovation, and craftsmanship.

The Brief

Star Live asked Flaunt to redesign and redevelop their website, to gently reposition the brand and their proposition. As the business continued to evolve, its digital presence must reflect this next chapter, with a focus on clearly communicating the quality of its services and the results they provide.

The website was identified as a critical touchpoint in the sales journey, often acting as the final point of reference before a conversation or enquiry. Because of this, the new website needed to support the brand’s core marketing objectives: increasing awareness, educating prospective customers, and driving leads by influencing decision-makers who are considering working with Star Live. 

To do this, the website needed to clearly articulate Star Live’s expertise, showcase the quality of its previous projects through case studies, and present the brand in a confident, contemporary way. We were chosen for our strategic, design-led approach, our experience building scalable CMS platforms, and our ability to translate complex service offerings into clear and compelling digital experiences.

Our Approach

We approached this project in a collaborative, strategic, and detail-driven way.

The first step was to undertake a focused research and immersion phase with the Star Live marketing team, reviewing their brand proposition, materials, competitors, and inspirational references.

From there, we developed three creative concepts to explore different levels of brand expression and tone, to align with the brand on creative direction as early as possible, which helped to reduce risk and streamline later stages of the project.

High-fidelity wireframes and designs were created for both mobile and desktop, ensuring the user journey worked intuitively across devices. Particular attention was paid to content hierarchy, case study storytelling, and subtle conversion points.

On the development side, we delivered a bespoke Gutenberg-based WordPress theme, enabling Star Live to manage content efficiently whilst maintaining design integrity. Performance optimisation, SEO best practices, and analytics tracking were implemented throughout, rather than treated as an afterthought.

Our Solution

Flaunt proposed a design-led rebuild underpinned by a flexible, scalable WordPress platform.

To support the repositioning, we recommended a bespoke visual direction that elevated the brand while staying grounded in Star Live’s existing identity. This ensured continuity while clearly signalling progress.

A template-based design system, built using modular blocks, was proposed to support clarity and scalability. This approach enables Star Live to present services, projects, and supporting content in a consistent and structured manner, while remaining flexible enough to improve and update.

We recommended re-platforming from Squarespace to WordPress to unlock greater CMS flexibility, deeper technical SEO capabilities, and easier integrations with tools such as HubSpot. This directly addressed the need for long-term scalability, improved content management, and enhanced lead tracking.

Finally, robust technical SEO, analytics, and performance optimisations were built into the scope from the outset, ensuring the new site would protect existing visibility while creating a stronger foundation for future growth.

Through the strategies we have undertaken to help Star Live’s evolving positioning, we provided a site not just designed to launch successfully, but to actively support business development, marketing activity, and long-term growth. 

Since the website redesign and development, there has been increased confidence and validation from prospective clients engaging with the website, with improved engagement across service pages and case studies. 

These have been easier to manage by the internal team, meaning there’s a faster rollout of new pages and campaigns. The user journey and messaging on site have become a lot clearer with the implementation of blocks and strong technical foundations for ongoing SEO and performance optimisation,  which has helped to drive higher-quality enquiries.
